President's Message For September

Posted by Editor on September 2, 2016 at 11:40 AM
Welcome to finally cooler temps of September. September looks to be a busy month for the Sooners. Our first event is the Mustang Western Days Parade on the 10th. Next is the Beauty and the Beast Auction at our regular club meeting. On the 24th we will be touring a collection of WWII era planes that Phil Wolfenbarger has uncovered. All of these activities make great opportunities for a drive in your Model A. An added activity will be the nomination and election of club officers for 2017. Bill Harris and his nominating committee have been working hard to come up with an outstanding slate of officers for next year. That list will be coming to you via the Scuttlebutt as well as email prior to September's meeting. If all of that is not enough with our current meeting room slated to be remodeled we will be meeting at the Will Rogers Senior Center at 3501 Pat Murphy Drive which is just down the street from our current meeting room. We will probably be meeting here till March or April. For this months meeting try to be there at 6:30 if you can so we can get our meal and our club business wrapped up so we can get the auction started. we only have the building until 9. We also need folks to stay and help clean up. Remember every day is better when your driving your "A" Will Langford
