President's Message for February

Posted by Editor on February 14, 2017 at 11:15 AM
Model A Friends, Who would have imagined we would have had so any nice days to drive the Model A in January and February in Oklahoma. Of course, you can not make your trip too long because the next day it could be bitter cold. We should just enjoy them when they come. Hopefully, we will have one of our ???nice??? weekends for the Spring Tour to Ponca City, March 17 ??? 19. We hope you have already made your reservations at the Comfort inn and Suites. The deadline is March 1. It will be a fun time. Sheryl and Greg have worked hard to set this tour up for us and the Tulsa Club to enjoy. Plan to join us and if you have not been on a tour with us, you are missing a lot of fun. Come Join Us. We had a great turnout for the January Model A Inspection Day and the ladies did a little antique shopping. Then we met for lunch at San Marcos on 40th and MacArthur and some delicious Mexican food. If was a fun, productive day. We had our first Steering Committee meeting on the 31st. There were 23 members that came and I really appreciate your willingness to help with the 2017 Annual Awards Banquet. It is going to be some work for us but I believe it will be a lot of fun and a chance to show off our city to the national Board. Our February meeting will be on the 21th so put it on your calendar. We will be having a demo by Bob Bordwine and the ladies will be discussing decorations for the 2017 Banquet. See you on the 21th, VaughnCille Weidner 2017 President

Dear Friends,
Thanks so much for your thoughts and prayers concerning my recent surgery to restore my voice. I recently lost my voice (unable to speak above a whisper and was hard to understand due to paralyzed vocal cords). I was able find a specialist that performed surgery on Feb 22nd and I am now able to speak clearly and can be heard. Praise God. I look forward to meeting again with you and joining in on activities. Most of all, with good weather coming I hope to be driving my beautiful 1931 Cabriolet. It gets comments everywhere I go with it and has earned first place awards at three car shows.
