I purchased this 1931 Coupe in the fall of 2005. It started but the motor had no power and was seeing the effects of neglect and time on it's late 70's restoration. We identified the motor problem as mis-adjusted valves but could not start on it until summer. I spent the summer of 2006 getting the valves adjusted and the car in running condition. Then over the next few years I rebuilt the steering, put on new tires, fixed the interior upholstery, re-wired the entire electrical system and a hundred other smaller projects. I knew something wasn't right with the motor because I had to adjust the valves a couple of times a year and the clutch had to be adjusted all the time. In the fall of 2010 along with Bill Jenkins, Bill Harris, Kent Depe, Rick Jensen, Joe Scearce and Bob McMillin we set out to refresh the motor.
I cannot think of a better example of the spirit of the Model A Club organizations.
I cannot begin to express my gratitude to those who helped in this endeavor. It is a memory I will always cherish
